“Best Corporation”award to Coimbatore
Chief Minister Jayalalitaa Presented the “Best Corporation”award to the Coimbatore on the occasion of Independence day celebrations held at Chennai. This award was in recognition of the achievements the corporation made in tax collection,education,solid waste management, health e.t.c.,This award consists of Rs.25lakh cash. This corporation had improved the tax collection for the year 2011-12 to 89% by adopting series of measures.

He did films like Utsav, Mandi,36 chowsinghee Lane.Ghai and Mehta had worked together on films like "Ram Lakhan" (1989), "Khal Nayak" (1993) and "Kisna" (2005).
Indian Urdu Literature to get Rare Pakistani’s Honour
An Urdu literature Professor Gopi Chand Narang’s name figures in the list of Civilian honours announced by Pakistan on its Independence day. He has been conferred “Sitara-i-Imtiaz”(Star of excellence) the third highest civilian honour bestowed by the nation. He received the ” Padma Bhushan”. It was great that an Indian selected for Pakistan’s highest honour for his selfless work for Urdu. eminent poet Josh Mahihabadi also selected for ” Hilal-i-Imtiaz’.
