Britain’s Ben Ainslie became the most successful Olympic sailor on 5 August 2012 won a gold medal in the single handed finn class to claim a record breaking fifth consecutive medal.He also matched the record for most Olympic sailing medals of any colour, previously held by Torben Grael of Brazil who managed two golds in 1996 and 2004, silver in 1984 and bronze in 1988 and 2000.

The Tropical Northern Australian city of cairns will host a meeting of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in 2014. Around 4,000 delegates and 3,000 international media are expected to attend the event, which is likely to be held at the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Mr Newman said Cairns was chosen because it was a regional tourist city with the hotels and international airport needed to host the 2000 delegates and media expected to attend.
