British Varsity Welcomes Pranab’s Election as President
A Leading British University- the University of Wolverhampton has welcomes the election of veteran politician and one of its honorary graduates Pranab Mukherjee as the new president of India . Mr. Mukherjee received an honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters from the University at a ceremony in New Delhi in May 2011 which was attended by the University’s chancellor Lord swaraj Paul.

London, Jul 25: A leading British University - the University of Wolverhampton - has welcomed the election of veteran politician and one of its honorary graduates Pranab Mukherjee as the new President of India.
Mukherjee, who took oath today as the 13th President of India, received an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters from the University at a ceremony in New Delhi in May 2011 which was attended by the University's Chancellor Lord Swraj Paul.

Egypt’s newly-elected President Mohamed Mursi has appointed Hisham Kandil, irrigation minister, head of the new government, assigned to turn the nation’s economy and internal security around after 17 months of instability and protests.Kandil was born in 1962 which makes him Egypt’s youngest prime minister to date. He is also the country’s first bearded premier.
CAIRO — President Mohamed Morsi of Egypt named a prime minister on Tuesday, plucking from relative obscurity the irrigation minister from the country’s interim government, according to the official Middle East News Agency.
Hesham Kandil was named prime minister designate by Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi on Tuesday.
The new prime minister is Hesham Kandil, who is known as a religious Muslim but is not a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. A technocrat who headed the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation under the interim cabinet appointed by the Egyptian military, Mr. Kandil is an American-educated engineer who is comfortable working with international agencies. At age 50, he is one of the youngest prime ministers in the country’s modern history.
